COMO Cocoa Island, The Maldives

Shaped like a narrow sandbank in the South Malé Atoll, this intimate retreat is defined by simplicity, privacy and a strong sense of place. Overwater suites are inspired by traditional dhoni boats, sitting low above a calm lagoon with direct access to clear, shallow waters ideal for unhurried swimming and snorkelling. Interiors are minimalist and calming, focused on natural materials and open space rather than ornamentation. Dining is understated yet considered, with a small selection of venues offering fresh, well-balanced cuisine in quiet, ocean-facing settings. The surrounding reef is easily accessible and supports gentle marine exploration without the need for long excursions. Service is discreet and attentive, aligning with the property’s overall sense of calm. It suits clients seeking a stripped-back, design-conscious Maldives experience where privacy and tranquillity take priority over scale or activity.
